Teams and disciplines

Where you would work

Four technical teams and a small commercial team, all in one office in Business Bay. Engineers move between teams as they certify.

  • Enterprise clients across finance, healthcare, retail and free zones
  • Projects on Fortinet, Microsoft, Cisco, HPE, Veeam and CrowdStrike
  • Clear path from service desk to L3 and consulting
  • Pre-sales and account management roles for technical people who like clients

Infrastructure and networks

LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls and SD-WAN on Fortinet, Cisco and HPE Aruba. Design work, migrations and L3 escalation for managed clients.

Cloud and Microsoft

Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Defender and Sentinel. Tenant migrations, Azure Virtual Desktop and hybrid VMware environments.

Cybersecurity

EDR/XDR, email security, VAPT and compliance work against ISO 27001, UAE IA / NESA and PCI DSS for clients across the Emirates.

NOC and service desk

24/7 monitoring, L1–L2 support and field engineering. The training ground for most of our senior engineers.

Hiring process

Four steps, usually inside three weeks

No assessment centres and no unpaid take-home projects. You meet the people you would work with.

  1. 01

    Application review

Every application is read by the hiring manager, not a filter. You hear back within five working days whether or not we proceed.

  2. 02

    Introductory call

A 30-minute call with the team lead about the role, your experience and what you want from the next few years.

  3. 03

    Technical interview

A practical session based on real client scenarios for the discipline, on site in Business Bay or over Teams for overseas candidates.

  4. 04

    Offer and onboarding

A written offer in AED with the full package, then visa processing, equipment and a structured first month with a named buddy.

Overseas candidates complete every step remotely; visa processing typically takes four to six weeks after the offer is accepted.

Life at Binary Minds

Small company, enterprise problems

We are around forty people, which means the engineer who designs a datacenter migration is also the one who presents it to the client and sees it through cut-over.

Most days start with a stand-up in Business Bay, then split between client sites, project work and the NOC. Senior engineers are expected to mentor; juniors are expected to ask. Vendor training from Microsoft, Fortinet and Cisco runs regularly in the office, and certifications are celebrated on the team board rather than filed quietly in HR.

The client base is varied: a DIFC fund one week, a Sharjah manufacturer the next, a school group across three Emirates after that. If you want to work on one product for years this is the wrong place; if you want breadth, it is a good one.

Ownership

One engineer owns a ticket, a project or a client relationship end to end. Handovers are the exception.

Learning in the open

Weekly technical sessions where someone walks through a real incident, migration or design and the room asks questions.

Multicultural team

Colleagues from a dozen countries; English is the working language, Arabic is valued for client-facing roles.

Respect for time

Change windows and on-call are planned, shift allowances are paid and time off in lieu is real.

FAQ

Questions from candidates

Visas, certifications, shifts and what happens when there is no matching role.

Yes. For engineering roles we consider candidates in the GCC, India, Pakistan, the Philippines and elsewhere and sponsor the employment visa. Interviews are held over Teams, and relocation timing is agreed in the offer.
